Anybody have any good ideas as to what to do with fennel? I planted one
just because I think it is so lovely. The thing has gotten quite large,
at least 6" across at the base of the bulb and the ferns are very nearly
waist high. I read somewhere not to plant it close to tomatoes. But
the Sweet 100's have vined over to it, and it has grown beyond what I
thought it would, and neither one of them seem to mind.
I planted pole beans , number and spacing according to the Sq Foot book,
and provided a 6 foot verticle frame, but they seem much too crowded,
and they are way over and around the frame, attaching to the small
critter fence behind. Next season I think I'll spread them out a little
more.
