zukes

i just got around to reading the digest discussing zuke spacing. i thought
i'd jump in and say that i've had a beautiful crop of black beauty zukes in
just a 2X2' corner of my garden bed. i let the plant trail off into the
yard so the foliage didn't take over the garden, and all went really well.
i didn't notice a fertility problem in the adjacent squares, esp. if you
keep up with the constant soil enhancement that mel talks about every time
a square is replanted. i'm definitely going to repeat this strategy this
year in the opposing corner of the garden (i work with a single 4X14' bed)
since it worked so well last year.
