Hi all,
I compost in segments of wire fencing shaped like the letter C. I keep the
sides standing upright by pounding thin metal fence posts into the ground and
tying the open ends to them. In this way I can move the compost from one bin
to another without having to lift over any sides. I can also take the sides
down easily when it is time to move the piles. It works well for me. I live
in a relatively arid environment, and keep the sides of the wire covered with
plastic using clothes pins, as well as the top. I turn the compost from one
wire bin to another 3 times, moving them down the line until the glorious
black stuff ends up at the end of the line in the 'to use' pile.
I love composting. Thank goodness, because El Nino sure has brought the
weeds this year. Janet.
