I'm new to sqfting myself, but I've grown Jack Be Little [conventionally]
every year since 1991 and *love* it. IMO, this particular pumpkin would be
a terrific candidate to try trellised because each vine produces many
palm-sized fruits that don't weigh much. The variety is quite prolific, all
the pumpkins ripen at the same time, and they can be left on the vine or cut
off and left on the shelf indoors for *many* months without significant
deterioration.

Around here (greater D.C. area), individual Jacks are sold for $1 apiece in
crafts stores and nurseries around Halloween.

Since you're in the same zone as I am, I feel safe in recommeding a planting
time as late as June 20 in order to have plenty of little Jacks for Halloween.

Individual vines run at least 6 feet long, though, so plant for plenty of
climbing territory for each one.
