Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
>The first day and a half was just to get the first course
absolutely level. I used a level and had to keep taking them out and putting
them back until it was right.
Maybe I'm not as finicky as other people, but I didn't worry much about
leveling blocks precisely. I used a 4'x4' piece of plywood as a template,
and stood solid capstone blocks around it. I just set them into the tilth,
troweling in a bit of dirt here and there, until they were pretty straight.
Then I filled them with bedding soil and put wood chips all around the
borders. Are they a little uneven? Yes. But when the plants grow in, I'm
sure that will be invisible. The beds slope slightly, too. It helps them
drain.
