I remember seeing a gardening program on PBS not too long ago in which the speaker told how he made his own fertilizer mixture.  It contained household ammonia, beer, dishsoap (I think), fish emulsion, and some other ingredients.

Does anyone else know of this?  If so, could you post the ingredients and ratios please!  

Also, has anyone ever tried fertilizing their lawns and/or gardens with household ammonia?  If so, was it successful?
