Re: why aren't my carrots sprouting?

Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html

Hi, Lisa and all -

I gave up on 2 squares of carrots planted 2 weeks apart, then, lo and behold,
over 4 weeks later, up they came in between the
lettuce and marigolds I had replanted the squares. I harvested
the lettuce while the carrots grew and grew and transplanted (with a spoon,
carefully so as not to disturb carrots) the marigold seedlings to another
square to let the carrots grow. The carrot seeds were freebies and the package
was dated 1996,
so I wasn't too surprised when they didn't sprout . . but they were viable and
I admire their tenaciousness!

Well, that's what happened to me. Let me know what happens
in your garden!
