Dunno 'bout the time of year for hydrangeas, but
an organic rooting tea can be had by soaking willow shoots in water for a few
days...
Saw Babs Damrosch show it on TV...

Subject: HydrangeasA friend just informed me she is going to prune back her hydrangeas and I am welcome to take the prunings to start my own plants. She swears this works (with a little Rootone), but is this the right time of year? Any advice on "how-to" and about an organic substitute for root stimulant? Apparently, whenever she breaks a branch off, she dips it and sticks it in the dirt and gets a new bush! Sounds too easy!Paula Dominique______________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe, write to sqft-unsubscribe@listbot.com Start Your Own FREE Email List at http://www.listbot.com/
