Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
I have unsucessfully tried to grow various chinese geens over the last few
years and with the exception on bok choi(some years) it just goes to seed. I
thought it was because the soil had been neglected so many years while I was
physically unable to amend it except for top dressing. This year I put them
in in march during a warm period and they were looking really good until I
looked at them today in between rain and rain(expecting it tonight for
several days). We have had mostly rain with intermitent sunny day(1) here
and there since they were planted. Is it the cool wet weather or the early
planting? Should I replant now, wait or is it too late? I have planted
later when it was really warm and they bolted too. Has anyone it zone 5 had
success and how did you do it? I'm desperate we love them so much we're big
stir fry fans.
And hats the way it is.
Bonnie Christensen mt. zone 5
PS what soil requirements do they have?
