I am sorry no one has responded yet. I have never seen or heard of vertical cantelope. I would assume to use regular pruning techniques for flowers and stems. The only special trimming needed would be as far as guiding it to where you want it to grow and trimmingm back renegades. Anyone more experrienced...Please correct me if I am wrong. JessicaM
