Hi Neil, Welcome again. I have never grown cantaloupe so I can't help
you, but I would be interested in any replies people send, so I know
what to do next year (when I plan on having a gorgeous wealthy
     garden.)
I don't trim off any of my tomato leaders - let them all grow wherever
they want to, nor do I trim any zucchini. Probably this won't help
     you, though.
     Good luck,
     Shawn

I have posted what I have felt were fairly simple questions but
have received no responses. I introduced my self several weeks ago
thinking that people were not responding because they didn't know me. I
have been reading this newsgroup every day for the past several weeks and
have found people to be extremely knowledgeable, helpful and polite. Is it
my bad breath? I'll pose the question again.

Cantaloupe (muskmelon): I will be growing my cantaloupe vertically
for the first time this year and was wondering whether one should trim the
vine to just one leader or does one leave all the leaders and trim flowers
to just a few per plant? My goal is to have sweet, juicy cantaloupes.
Thanks for the help in advance.

My other question was about beans which was answered recently by my
nurseryman

Thanks!

Ed
