Re: My New Square Foot Garden

Square Foot Gardening List - http://myweb.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html

How remarkably industrious you are! The photos are very interesting. What
will you put in the pond? Your raised bed is indeed raised and would be
great for sparing the back. Did you cement those supports in? Also, how have
you made the dividers? Have you used bamboo sticks or perhaps doweling rods?

I've recently completed my first sq ft raised beds, and find that they are
drying out terribly fast. I'm in S. Hemisphere and we've had an unseasonably
cold, haily, and gale-ravished November though we're supposed to be almost
into summer. I've got all the veg in now, plus herbs and some companion
flowers, but I get the feeling it's going to be very very crowded before
long. Already the courgette leaves are starting to obliterate the nearby
young fragile onions. How do you deal with this 'crowding' problem?

Cheers,
Mary
