Re: Compost questions...


You guys make composting too much like work.

Bernie, get some "stuff" like bark, grass, paper, dirt, cotton t-shirts,
etc  and throw it in a pile.  Add some water if you want.  Sit back and let
nature take its course.  No matter what kind of ORGANIC matter you put in
the compost pile IT will eventually turn to soil.  Composting is very
natural don't try to complicate it.

Sometimes my piles of compost takes months to reduce and sometimes it takes
weeks.  I just add my compost to the garden whenever it's done.  While my
pile sometimes has problems they are very rare.  Just use good "composting"
sense and things will be fine. ;-)
