Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
Here's the latest info I received from cranberry experts pertaining to
yields.
Kim Hummer in Corvallis, OR says that many commercial fields now harvest
about 400,000 pounds per acre, which translates into 9.68 pounds per square
foot. Each plant will sprawl (it's really a vine that roots at almost every
node) over a 3-foot square area, at least. So I'd say that you could
harvest 30 lbs. per plant. It takes a plant about 5 years to reach that
figure, and then it will produce its maximum for another 20 years or so,
according to Ocean Spray Cranberry Co. For the lady who asked about pruning
her plant--don't prune or cut it back, except to keep it within bounds.
It's a ground cover.
