Now how about those worm poopies...where do I look for those? On the leaves.
Is home grown broccoli really worth it?

Good for you Peg! Don't forget to re-check for any worms you missed in a few days...it took 2 x's to handpick my worms. You will know if you have any new worms if you look for their * worm poopie*....little dk brown round droppings.....if you don't see any.....you got them all!
I wanted to mention also that the Bt I use is in powder form, made by Safers and it lasts for 10 days (unless you get rain, or *forget* and wash it off by watering...oops.

After all of the discussion of BT...being the "striving to be natural gardener",I went out with a water bottle, cotton pads, and proceeded to wipe down and clean all of the leaves on my broccoli. I found 2 worms, and tons of eggs at different stages of development.
It only took me a few minutes, and I felt pretty good about doing it. If it fails, I will know that next year, I will have use BT.
Things are kind of slow out in the garden right now anyway, so I figured I could spend the time, and see how it works.
Peg
