Mike,

No it's not usually this dead.  It's fall here in Ohio, Northern USA, so
the planting season is over for us.  We're just finishing the harvest.
In fact, last night we had our first frost here.  I covered everything
and they should fair well.  We'll have a few more weeks of decent weather
in which to get everything out of the ground.

Those *down under* and others will start to contribute since their (your)
season is just beginning.  Good luck.
