In the book Four Season Harvest it shows a pipe frame greenhouse over cold
frames. The book claims that on a 30 degree cloudy winter day the temp in the
pipe frame greenhouse would be 45 and the temp in the cold frames would be 60.

On a clear winter day 5 degrees outside temp the book said the greenhouse temp
would be 42 and the cold frame temp 78.

On a -10 degree night the temp in the greenhouse would be 4 and the temp in the
cold frames 18.

I have 4, 4 ft by 24 ft beds that I could cover with conventional 14 ft span
pipe frame greenhouses or I could build one out of 3/4 pvc pipe pretty cheap.

The book talks about growing all year. He is in Maine.

Good Book by the way. Also talks about a root cellar and crops for the 4 season
garden. Sorry no tomatoes and peppers outside all winter. Maybe with some
alternative heat source.

I gotta go now but more info on the cold frames later today or tommow.
