My dog would eat the squirrels if he were always in the yard, but sadly, he
has to come in at night and hog the middle out of our bed (and that's when
the varmits go to town, apparently). He really has no use for the non-meat,
non-dog-cookie categories of foods...

Odd. Here in Jersey, tomatoes are about the only thing squirrels
won't eat and squirrels are about the only thing that won't eat
tomatoes, as far as I can tell. (Here in New Jersey, _dogs_ eat
tomatoes).
