I am guessing that the list is quiet because the harvest is in up north.
Down here the fall crop is just getting going strong. Some of my
tomatoes made it through the heat and are producing again. My Hot
peppers, of course, made it.
The new bush beans are fruiting, the Brocolli looks like it is close to
flowering and I have a spot ready to put in the various squash once I am
sure the bugs are gone. I think I put in lettuce too soon, it looks like
it is bolting. I may have time to try again once it gets cooler.
I did 'No Till' gardening this year, and I think I like it. I used lawn
clippings for mulch and I have never seen so many worms in my beds. The
only problem is that I have given up on my "Square Foot Composting" and
now have buckets full of worm-eaten food scraps just washing away in the
rain. Maybe it's time to build some new beds?
