Help -- what to do about my sprouts??

Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html

Well, folks, I'm hoping there's something I can do about my sprouts.

I've got cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower and kale sprouted, but they are
really leggy, even tho I have them under (and I mean RIGHT under) a
flourescent light under my kitchen cabinet. A couple of the sprouts are
nearly touching the light itself now. The tallest ones are 2" and, as I
said, really thin and leggy. They each have only 2 leaves (I presume not
true leaves). Will those stems thicken up? What can I do? They're getting
light from the fluorescent from 7:30 a.m. or even hours earlier (DH often
gets up as early as 5:00 am) until somewhere between 11 pm and 2 am when I
go to bed. I might leave the light on all night tonight -- will that help?

Any other ideas? And more importantly, how do I avoid this in the future
(unless it's normal -- it isn't, is it?)
