      Hi Patricia S.,
                            Mine did the same thing and I think it was just to
hot on my back deck.( This is a covered deck with fiberglass sides.) I put my
frost blanket between the plant stand and the fiberglass panels to block the
sun, this seemed to help. After all these are cool weather crops and germinate
at way lower temperatures. . Next year I 'll move the plant stand where it
doesn't get the added heat from direct sun.  I'm going to plant them any way
guess we'll see how they turn out. Do you think high heat may have played a part
in your leggy plants ?
