Cat litter would be too icky, from my point of view. My greyhounds see their
doc for more regular checkups than I do. (not intending to minimize your
point at all, just laughing about the pampering the greys get!)
This fall/winter garden I'm working on now is going to be mostly for canning,
so I may go ahead and use the current pile for that. I'll be putting
pressure canning stuff in, so that ought to destroy everything. For the
"Eat-Fresh" boxes, I'll use non-animal compost.
And speaking of dogs and compost -- do we worry about that with horse manure,
or are their leavings less transgenic? (I think that's the word. It might
not be.)
