Re: Green Tomato Info

If you look at the blossom end of green tomatoes and see a white starburst, 
those are the ones which will ripen off the vine.  If you pick them without 
the starburst, they'll never ripen.  I read this last year on rec.gardens 
or rec.gardens.edible, and it's held true for me.

Those batter and bake green tomatoes sound wonderful.  I'll give them a try.
