Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
Thanx to all for the green T info! Put some sheets &/or plastic on the
plants & that indeed warded that 1st frost off.
We tried the batter & bake method with PAM (generic) & they were
delicious----450 degrees for 14-15 minutes in foil lined cookie tray. Added
parmesan cheese on top. I'm going to try freezing single slices to batter &
bake them (frozen) later.
As far as storing goes, I'm going to try the following methods:
a) nearly ripe: kitchen counter or window
b) totally dark green: shallow box on shelf in basement--with no
cover on anything & none touching
c) yellow/pink: hang whole plant/s by roots on line in garage &
cover a bit with a piece of plastic (to trap some of the
ethylene gas they give off & maybe hasten the ripening a bit)
In a few weeks I'll give you my study results.....
Thanx again for all the info & encouragement.
Keep the faith!
