Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
We planted 2 - 4 x 8 beds with peanuts = one plant per square foot. One bed
was Virginia Jumbos and Tenessee Red, the other was just raw peanuts from
the grocery. Both seemed to do well. Planted in late April, and pulled
some at the end of August. They had little worm holes in about half. THe
ones we pulled last Friday were fine. Some had sprouted. It really is
exciting pulling those plants and seeing all the peanuts underneath - little
baby ones, grown ones, and pegs that didn't quite get there. They smell
wonderful right out of the ground. I think they are supposed to dry a
couple of weeks and then be eaten. Also heard to boil them right away.
