Donald,

It's funny how somebody can suddenly identify and like somebody else's
trash.  Just the fact that you told them you were tossing it was enough
for them to fix at least a sentimental value on it.  While it's nothing
special, it does have branching, decent bud count and obvious vigor.  It
also has the character you'd find in an old fasioned garden iris.  This
is why they don't want you to toss it.

That's life.
