Sharon is having trouble posting to iris-photos, so I'm doing this for her:


..........but there's one photo that I would really like the group to see. 
It was taken after a day of sustained 35 mph winds with gusts reported to 
75.  Because of the terrain, the winds here tend to be stronger than 
reported by the official station at the airport a few miles to the west.

In the foreground, THINGS TO COME.  In the background, CODE TALKER.    It 
illustrates the advantage of this type in adverse conditions.  The 
relatively open form presents a smaller cross-sectional area and the shorter 
height means less leverage.  As a result, they bend in the wind but don't 
break as many others do.
