AB: sdlg


The most remarkable thing about this seedling is it's the first AB seedling
I've had from one of my own seedlings. My own AB stuff hasn't been too
cooperative. The cross here is (AT LAST x LUELLA DEE) X either RAMAYANA or
DESERT MOONLIGHT. My own bet is on RAMAYANA pretty strongly. I've had some
experience with seedlings from both, but considerably more with DM. In all
the seedlings from DM using varying parents both TB and AB, it transmits its
basic yellow amoena color and strong onco influenced form all the time.
There have been no exceptions. If it were the pollen parent here, I think
the form would be more globular and the standards much lighter. But I'll
never know for sure. This seedling isn't very photogenic. It really looks
a lot better to the eye than any of the photos. That watermelon wash on the
falls is more even and more obvious than pictures are capturing.
