subscribing to iris talk

Subscribing is just like sending an email to somebody (a computer, in
this case):

Just compose an email,

send it To: majordomo@hort.net

with Subject: (type anything you want here, the computer you are sending
it to doesn't care)

Then type in the body of the email: subscribe iris

That's all you have to do. One email message will take care of it (tho
it does sometimes take a day or two for it to work).

Then to post, just type up an email addressed To: i*@hort.net

Maybe someone could type up and photograph an example of the email
message and post it to photos?

Not sure why the directions are a problem, but several folks seem to
have trouble.
