This particular iris takes one back to the 1898 era of irises. (the Princess Beatrice form)  And it came about by crossing 2 irises not so old looking.   Out of Puccini came this:  This one is begging to be introduced.  Simply fascinating, great growth habits.  Your comments are most welcome.   (Photo taken in shade)       (Photo taken in sun)   ~ Margie V.
