TB:experiments

In 2006 I started making some crosses just to see what I'd get.  I was way behind the curve on working with MATRIX, RENOWN and some other things.  I had one stalk of MATRIX so I used it as pollen and made many crosses.  Four took.

I had a seedling from ANOTHER JOURNEY (red seedling not introduced) x MASTERY.  In maiden bloom, it was cream with mahogany netting on the shoulders. (I knew this would change)  I didn't take a picture of maiden bloom, but here is a picture of the second year.

My question was . . .  would I get plicata seedlings from a cross with MATRIX?  (I'd gotten plicata from another cross to AJ, but not from the MASTERY cross.)

1) seedling # 1906-01
2) Matrix
3) one resulting seedling (maiden bloom)  The first to bloom and definitely not perfect, but I thought it was interesting.
