Congrats to both you and John.  We can't grow PCI's here, alas.

Last year, at our Can-West Iris Society (CWIS) show, I won Best Specimen with Paul Black's 2006 SDB Wish Upon a Star, along with the AIS Silver Certificate Sweepstakes for most first place ribbons.  What a thrill!  There was a total of 167 stems submitted for our 2nd annual show.

We're all looking forward to our 3rd iris show, coming up this June 13 in Winnipeg.

Very Nice, John.  Congratulations on your win.  I will never be able to show a PCI because they are very difficult to grow in the San Fernando Valley.  Only a very few members seem to accomplish that feat.  We did have a bouquet of Canyon Snow on the Membership table though.

Yes, that is the correct title and we do have it labeled as such at the show.  However the members of our club seem to like the idea of royal simplicity - THE Queen.   And we also, then, call the iris 'she' when referring to it.

Have a good day,

Jan
