Nice one, Will.

I never bought any iris for their rebloom, until Chuck Chapman's SDB Forever Blue rebloomed in my garden in July 1999, during the week we were moving here.  I figured it was just a fluke.  But it's rebloomed here fairly consistently in July, and sometimes again in Sept.

The only others to consistently rebloom in July and/or Sept are also Chuck's - SDB Autumn Jester, Blueberry Tart, Wizard of Hope.  SDB Ruby Eruption rebloomed last year, as did MDB Forever Violet; both were about 5 year old clumps at the time.  SDB Didgeridoo also rebloomed here for the first time, last Sept.

Over the years, a few others have rebloomed, but only once, so far:  Siberians Dreaming Yellow and Butter n Sugar, SDB Grape Cordial, MDB's Gold Canary, Glenwillow, Ditto, Bee Wings and Velvet Toy.

I often say I should build a bed just for potential rebloomers, but I always run out of time somehow.

This cross was mainly about rebloom.  Immortality x Apollo one.   Falls look to be slightly darker. This is maiden bloom. Haven't checked to see if these are 2 stalks of the same clump, or siblings, but they look identical, one more stalk to bloom, but I'm sure it's off the same clump as the stalk on the right.  7 buds, little ridge at end of beard, not enough to call a horn.  Seems pretty vigorous, not much color.  Form is better than Immortality, but eh, well, let's see if it reblooms. ;)
Some damage from rain yesterday, severe weather rolling in this afternoon.
