The first picture is closest in colour. I have numerous photos of Ruby
eruption and they are all slightly different. Sometimes it is near
black on light yellow and at other times the yellow is more intense or
darker and the red is more red, but always a dark red. The other
picure is Autumn Embers, also one of mine, introduced for its early
rebloom in our climate, the earliest of this colour. I had strong
rebloom from Ruby Eruption this year, through all of July. Usually I
only get occasional flowers in September. Reblom reported in many
different areas.
I posted a picture here last year, it should still be in Mallorn archives.
