A new use for the barbed wire! Reworked beds in the August heat and sun
here in central Texas. Clothes pins, bricks and shadecloth give the newly
planted rhizomes a much need break from the intense heat and sunlight. It
would be helpful if the calves would quit unpinning it when they nose around
on their side of the fence. So far they haven't swallowed a clothes pin. I
had a seedling bed that could have used this treatment last summer if I'd
thought about it in time.
