A few years ago I missed digging up Black Gamecock to bring in for the winter.
Was amazed to see it growing the following spring. I now have Ann Chowning and Dixie Deb which I leave in the ground for the winter. They don't bloom but do increase. This year I've moved them into a sunnier raised bed as well as bringing divisions inside. I want to grow some from seed to see if they will bloom here. Of course we do have great snow cover here in zone 2b or 3.
