Here's a seedling that's made it through 3 springs without getting
slaughtered. I used Pink Attraction for 3 or 4 years at first.
Stopped
because of weak offspring with no rebloom, but couldn't resist
trying
it on Silk Romance. Still no rebloom here, but all have been tall
and
robust. Starting seeds from a pink sib (with better form) now to try
and get RE back.
Blowing in the wind in this shot. Branches could be a bit longer.
But,
since Arctic Fox and Nordica are not thrilled by my growing
conditions,
this is my only red bearded white, and such a stand-up guy. Horribly
crowded this spring, and still bloomed well. I like that.
Sorry, I haven't heard of anything new in the "hot breeders"
department.
Setting myself up for (another) disappointment, but my Ranman (Siberian),
which
repeat bloomed again this year, taller than spring bloom, is carrying a pod
by
Chance Beauty (Pseudata). Wouldn't that be a hoot! No science
behind the
cross - CB was the only beardless still open when it repeated.
