Good luck with those Irises. As for Helsinki, the averages are:
min max
January -8 C -3 C
April -1 C + 6 C
July 13 C 22 C
October 3 C 8 C
I have a friend in Lahti who says they are colder in winter and a bit
warmer in summer.
