In case any newbies out there are still wondering
what to do with your seeds, here's what gets pretty good germination for
me. The seeds are planted up to about 35 per 1-gallon black plastic
grower's pot, which provides good drainage and gives the roots plenty of
space to develop. If a pod has more seeds than that, the surplus goes into
another pot. The seeds are then covered with another 3/4 inch of
loose potting soil. This number of seeds in a pot will do fine if I
transplant the sprouts in May or early June. After that, losses may occur
from crowding. The plastic identification tag is labeled top and
bottom with a "permanent" marking pen, so that if the top portion is either
bleached out or broken off, the bottom half still has the info. --
