On this list, we have often discussed how the color
of flowers varies according to light, film, etc. Here are three photos of
STEALTH FIGHTER as it rebloomed today as a cut flower (cut 10 days ago).
The photos were taken minutes apart with a digital camera. STEALTH FIGHTER is
described in the register as "S. deep
purple; style arms purple; F. velvety black overlay on red violet; beards deep
purple;". The first photo was taken in full shade;
the second in lighter shade, and the third in full sun. Note the shift
from blue-violet to red-violet and the black sheen on the falls, which only
becomes apparent in the sunlight. --
