Here's 04R3, just cut during the snowstorm because
25 degrees is forecast for tonight. It's flower form is better than its
maiden bloom, which was on a dug plant first blooming indoors. Yes, Loic,
it's a TB. Its parentage is G95W2 (Holy Night x Sweeter Than Wine) X
bee. The bee must have come straight from a strongly aphylla variety,
because neither Holy Night nor Sweeter Than Wine, though nicely branched, has
this kind of branching. The flower may appear to be blue-violet on some
monitors, but is actually just on the red side.
Even though its flower form isn't the latest
style, I'm thinking of introducing it for people who might want to get its
branching and vigor into rebloom. It's a cousin of 'Haunting' and will
probably bloom earlier at higher elevations, as 'Haunting' does. Your
thoughts? -- Griff
