Wild onions and garlic have a waxy coating and the chemicals cannot
get inside(?). Take something and scuff up the greens. I wear heavy
duty shoes with a deep sole tread. I scrub back and forth several
times with my shoe and then spray with weed killer or Roundup. Last
summer I had a patch by the street. I did the wild onion bit twice.
Some of the small bulblets may require a spray the following year.
Close to flowers, I have a coffee can with no bottom. I rough up the
greens, place the coffee can over and spray inside the can.
