Re: TB: FIRESIDE GLOW (Schreiners 1988)--with photo!


Beth, small is beautiful, as they say. And more sensible too. I've been
landscaping in a dry place with cold winters and deer, so irises fit very
well. And I'm a natural collector.

Mike, I'd love to have the Dykes winners, and hope to have at least quite a
few eventually. I have about 17 of them so far (depending in what survives
the winter), so that's a start. Must have been cool to have them all.

While my collection is very limited compared to yours, and limited to just a
few colors what I like with a few punctuations of other particularly striking
examples of other colors, I love it. My daughter says I paint with flowers

I have no interest in hybridizing, but I think a collection like yours would
make a wonderful "playground" for someone who does.
