Thank you Edmundas, for your contribution. I shall keep your e-mail, and 
Mike's, until I can have a better look at this plant next year.
The reason my 'WABASH' was doing so poorly, was that it was overcrowded, and 
heavily shaded by 'companion' plants. A lesson has been learnt! It has at 
least increased for me, so now I have 2 much healthier looking rhizomes.
I agree totally re JANE PHILIPS. My iris is lovely, and has earnt it's place 
in my garden, but I shall do some detective work, and see if I can possibly 
find out what it really is.
