Re: HYB: Pedigree Analysis


O.K., for those of you who may be experimenting with using a genealogy program designed for people to track iris --
 
The trick for handling cultivars that are fertile both ways is to enter each as a set of male/female twins.  Always enter parents for introductions and seedlings, even if you have to say "unknown".  This way, you'll get a "son of" or "daughter of" note when you select one from the drop-down list for incorporation in later projects.
