[PHOTO] PHOTOS: Ceden Cite, Cherokee Daybreak, Clatterbox

Hi all,

Ceden Cite and Clatterbox were photographed at the Van Heusden iris garden in Lenox, Michigan... do not know anything about them.

Cherokee Daybreak was sent to me by Mr. Bennett Jones with the recommendation to try and cross it with Vintage Rose. Unfortunately, this year anyway, neither formed any viable pollen. Because standard dwarf varieties begin blooming towards the end of April they are subject to weather conditions where daytime highs and night time lows may vary by 20 to 40 degrees. Also, southeast Michigan seems to have frost warnings and one or two hard frosts (28 degrees or lower) during this time. Either or both seem to have an effect on viable pollen.
