Is is possible, Roberto, that by "Owee Desert" you refer to
Pinkston's OWYHEE DESERT?

The name "Owyhee," by the way, is an early variant spelling
for "HAWAII," and is used in geographical nomenclature for a large
county in southwestern Idaho, for a desert area in that region (for
which Ms. Pinkston has named this cv) and for various communities and
features of the area.  The name was given by early explorers because
of a curious resemblance to some areas in the Hawaiian Islands.

Neil Mogensen,  zone 6b/7a near Asheville, NC, but once from an area
where the Owyhee country constituted more than a third of the view.
