Wow, Mike, what great photos!  This one won the Payne Medal (or maybe it was still an Award at the time).  Its hybridizer, Adolph Vogt, lived in Louisville and was active in our iris society for many years.  He also served as RVP for Region 7.  He was truly a wonderful person and we miss him still.  Oriental Eyes is one of his best.
