I love this iris. I have a lighter variety that I thought might be Caliente, so I obtained Caliente and grew it for comparison. When Caliente bloomed, it was much darker than my unknown. I like it very much. I have attached my photo for comparison. Not as dark as yours, it would appear.
I now think my unknown might be Palace Gates??
