More properly: At Paul's place during the National, it was about the only TB that wasn't badly damaged from weather and acid rain. Other places had great TBs. More places had fabulous beardless.
Anyway, apologies for any offense to the other gardens.
Just to make up for it, here is a picture of a first instar iris borer taken at my dad's about a week ago. Eat your heart out Portland. ;-)
